![]() | "I was thrilled that finally somebody thought about changing that big old complicated ms-mixer... I immediately downloaded it and started to use this excellent program..." -- Robert Horvath "Audio Sliders is one of few volume/mixer-alternative found, and first one I can use, imo 'the best' (looking, features, installing and use - really great configuration possibilities). All in all I'm very happy with AudioSliders as is (normal size, standard skin). Great options, care for details, even Languages, where my native is included, the info tab, hot keys, OSD and so on. On your homepage I get the impression that Audio Sliders is an ongoing project ('of the heart'?) (with user suggestions) and I like that." -- Lars Sidenius "I love this little program. It is one of the slickest, best designed audio control panels I have ever seen or used, and believe me.....as a system administrator, I search for, download and try out all kinds of programs...." -- Mark Huff |
Audio Sliders in action. In the example shown, the slider window is "docked" to the task bar above the start menu. The program may be configured to auto-scroll and hide any of the available bars; in this case it has been configured to have only the Artist/Track Title bar remain visible during normal operation. But as soon as the mouse pointer is dragged over the bar or the user-configurable hot key combination is pressed, Audio Sliders expands to show all selected bars. In addition to the audio controls, Audio Sliders may be configured to display some system information as well. Bars for items such as Memory and Swap File Usage, Disc Space, CPU Utilization, modem connection speed, even the current date and time and many others can be added to the slider display.
In addition to being able control audio functions such as volume with hot key combinations, Audio Sliders can also control audio players including the built-in CD Player or external players such as WinAmp. Hot key combinations may be used to start, stop or pause playback, mute the master volume, jump forwards or backwards from track to track or fast forward or rewind within a track. Audio Sliders can even start your screensaver with a touch of the keyboard!
It's simple to add or remove sliders from your display, just open the configuration window and add or remove selected sliders. You can save five different layouts, and switch between them at any time. (Click on the picture to view actual size).
The On Screen Display will pop up when one of the hot keys are pressed. The OSD will display the volume level, or the artist and track title, depending on which hot key function was selected. These screens work both with the build in CD player, or with the external audio player of your choice. (Click on the picture to view actual size).
